Canned Sauerkraut is prepared from clean, sound, well matured heads of the cabbage plant which have been properly trimmed and cut; to which salt is added and is cured by natural fermentation. The finished product is packed with water and salt. The product is packed in hermetically sealed containers and sufficiently processed by heat to assure preservation.
